Design and Construct

This is a project delivery method whereby we take responsibility for both the design and construction of the project based on the concept and requirements specified by the client. Whether it’s design and construct, a traditional build, construction management or early contractor involvement, M/Construction services and delivers outstanding solutions to both private and government projects.

Local Industry Participation Policy

As a Western Australian company, M/Construction aims to have a positive effect on the community in which we operate, and as such we endeavour, wherever possible, to engage locally-based suppliers, sub-contractors and work labour. We provide full, fair and reasonable opportunity for local industry to participate in our activities subject to satisfying our requirements of, including but not limited to, quality workmanship, competitiveness and compliance.

M/Construction strongly believes that this approach ensures productivity and quality of workmanship in our project delivery.

We also undertake to employ and provide training and leadership experience to cadets, from TAFE and Universities, who are studying in the field of building and construction.

M/Construction is more than the projects we deliver; we’re about people. Our team is led by Michael Read who has over two decades worth of experience.

Michael Read

Construction Director

Michael Read is a registered builder with over two decades experience in the commercial construction industry. A diverse, high profile portfolio at a management level and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management & Economics from Curtin University has helped formulate a progressive, measured approach in the formation and execution of commercial construction projects.

His previous positions at BHP Billiton, National Manager for Project Reviews at Broad Construction (subsidiary of Leighton Contractors) and General Manager at Arccon have provided Michael with a wealth of knowledge in complex issue resolution. Michael has won a suite of awards including the Master Builders Best New Builder 2015 for M/Construction.

We have a strong focus on our client and subcontractor relationships.

Born from WA's leading design-focused developer, our team is steered by design detail, quality and project control. We consistently choose to work with the same subcontractors and suppliers because we see them as partners in business – believing that working with good people on a regular basis achieves a better outcome and a higher quality of workmanship.
